The 2nd Hackathon Oil Tech Challenge 2021 international petroleum forum will take place in Almetyevsk (Tatarstan) from July 8 to 15.
The HOT Challenge is a unique educational platform, the aim of which is the identification and professional development of progressive teams of talented young people in order to solve urgent tasks facing the Russian fuel and energy sector.
The key theme of this year’s forum will be sustainable development. For teams to solve project tasks at the hackathon, the following UN sustainable development goals have been identified: Affordable and Clean Energy, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, and Life on Land. Special attention, as noted, will be paid to the development of leadership skills, effective communication, and result-oriented performance.
The forum will bring together 250 students, young professionals, and teachers from Russia and the CIS. For their individual achievements, the most active participants in HOT Challenge 2021 will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to enter the talent pool of fuel and energy companies, to undertake practical training in leading petroleum companies in Russia and abroad on the recommendation from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The forum is organised by the Russian Ministry of Energy, Tatneft, and the Youth Council of Petroleum Industry under the Russian Ministry of Energy.
