Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met today with Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.
The meeting took place within the framework of Péter Szijjártó’s working visit to Nizhnekamsk. The ceremony of launching the construction of a plant for production of rubber-modified bitumen based on MOL technology took place there today.
During the meeting with Péter Szijjártó, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasised that equal and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields has been established for many years between Russia and Hungary. He said it was very important to expand cooperation between major companies of Tatarstan and Hungary, Tatneft and MOL.
It was noted that the establishment of the production of rubber-modified bitumen (RMB) at TANECO based on technology developed by MOL is a good contribution to the development of Tatarstan-Hungarian cooperation.
Following the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Péter Szijjártó answered questions from media representatives.
So, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that he was visiting Tatarstan for the second time. He also noted that a number of Hungarian companies have already invested in Russia and in particular in Tatarstan as a region.
