Sollers Ford will produce and deliver more than 350 Ford Transit cash-in-transit vehicles for the Russian banking sector. The first 44 vehicles will be delivered to Sberbank as early as May, with the remainder to be delivered by mid-autumn 2021.
The all-metal van is used as the base version for the armoured Ford Transit vehicle. The CIT vehicles are fully customised and, depending on customer requirements, equipped with front, rear, or all-wheel drive, as well as with an engine of required horsepower. Wide range of optional equipment and reinforced suspension of the base van allows the Ford Transit to be armoured to a customer’s required protection class, and to combine elements of different classes in one vehicle.
All armoured vans are equipped with telemetry system, internal and external video surveillance systems, fire suppression system, centralised locking system, special air conditioning system, loopholes in the doors for firing, mountings for weapons, etc.
Ford Transit is one of the most popular vehicles in the LCV segment. The loyalty of its customers are due to a number of vehicle’s advantages, such as quality and reliability, low cost of ownership, high level of service in an official dealer network at an affordable, one-of-the-lowest for LCVs, maintenance cost, and many others. Ford Transit production was launched at the Sollers Ford factory in Yelabuga using full-cycle technology.
