Sollers Ford is preparing to relaunch its engine plant in Yelabuga and is starting to hire staff for it. The plant intends to produce diesel engines for the Ford Transit range of commercial vehicles to Ford Motor Company’s high global standards.
Launching the plant is an elaborate and time-consuming process that requires highly professional teamwork. At the initial stage, a team of highly skilled professionals with experience in the automotive industry and project start-ups will be formed. They will have to build all production and logistics chains and go through all stages of preproduction planning according to Ford Motor Company standards, including design, manufacturing, commissioning, acceptance of equipment and tooling.
The engine plant is located in close proximity to the Ford Transit production facilities and occupies an area of 42,600 square metres. The plant is equipped with advanced, high-tech equipment to meet all productivity, environmental, and safety requirements in accordance with Ford Motor Company global standards, with up to 95% automation of production processes.
At present, the engine plant in Yelabuga is recruiting employees in the following professions: lead process engineer, process engineer, tooling engineer, layout and tooling design engineer, equipment engineer, lead process engineer for internal combustion engine testing, lead supply chain management expert, etc.
