A number of important economic agreements were signed today as part of a working visit of a Tatarstan delegation to the city of Saran (Kazakhstan). The ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Thus, Tatneft jointly with its Kazakhstani partners plans to produce rubber in Kazakhstan. An agreement on this was signed with NC KazMunayGas. The capacity of the factory planned to be put into operation by 2025 will be 186,000 tonnes of butadiene rubber and 170,000 tonnes of isobutane. The plant will employ 400 people.
President Minnikhanov said that Kazakhstan has most valuable raw materials for production of rubbers, and therefore there is a need to work together actively in this direction.
In addition, a memorandum of intent was signed today for the construction of a plant for bitumen production.
