The share of small and medium-size businesses in Tatarstan in the first 9 months of 2020 exceeded 25%. A total of 33% of able-bodied people are employed in Tatarstan’s SME sector.
This was stated today by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with community representatives of the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in municipal and urban districts.
The meeting took place at the Kazan House of Entrepreneurs (Peterburgskaya St.).
According to President Minnikhanov, this format of meetings with representatives has worked out well. It raises issues really important for businesses that need to be addressed at the federal level, at the level of the republic, the President said.
We should take decisions on the creation of business infrastructure, as it is also connected with the development of agglomerations, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
He pointed out that it is especially important today to carry out comprehensive development of the territories, not only housing but also social facilities like schools and kindergartens, to create jobs.
He noted that today new forms of goods movement are emerging as part of e-commerce development.
