Today, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner held a meeting with representatives of Auchan. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan and the Kazan City Executive Committee.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the status of retail trade in Tatarstan and opportunities for expansion of cooperation between the retail store chain and local producers, as well as the prospects of supplying farm products to Auchan hypermarkets. In addition, representatives of the retail chain spoke about their charitable projects. The participants of the meeting were offered to join the Good Kazan city’s charitable project.
Auchan is a French corporation represented in many countries worldwide. The first hypermarket in Kazan was opened on October 6, 2011. Currently, there are 2 hypermarkets in Kazan (Park House Shopping Mall, Yuzhny Shopping Mall) and 4 Atac convenience stores.
Auchan cooperates with 52 national suppliers, including companies producing dairy products, eggs, frozen foods, sausages, confectionery products, groceries, beverages, bakery and confectionery products.
