Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held an online meeting with top executives of Complant (China). The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, heads of Tatarstan ministries and agencies.
Complant is a large Chinese corporation known for its contracting projects in different countries of the world in such areas as transport, electricity, ecology, metallurgy, various industries, etc.
President Minnikhanov stressed that the republic attaches great importance to expanding ties with China, which are aimed at strengthening Russian-Chinese relations.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is interested in developing cooperation with Complant, including that in the field of ecology. One of the promising projects is the rehabilitation of the Volga River basin. The plans also included interaction in the field of construction, solid waste processing and power generation, work in the field of muddy sediments, and wastewater treatment. “These issues are very urgent for us, and we are ready to cooperate in all these areas,” the Tatarstan President added.
