In early 2021, Aconit-Ural, the borrower of IDF (Industry Development Fund managed by VEB.RF) produced the first batch of rollers used in industrial conveyors for transporting copper, stone, coal, and other cargo at a new plant in Yelabuga.

At the end of 2019, the IDF provided the company with a soft loan under the Development Projects programme of RUB 250 million at 1% per annum. The project’s total budget exceeded RUB 700 million, with the commissioned line capacity of 1 million products per year.

The new production facility has a high level of automation through the use of latest process equipment. This allows reducing the impact of the human factor, to increase efficiency and to ensure 100% quality control of products.

Previously, rollers used for assembly of the conveyors were mainly of foreign origin, German and Chinese. Thanks to the launch of the new facility, the share of imported components will drop to about 60%.

The first batch of rollers was supplied to the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, one of the largest steel makers in Russia. The products will also be supplied to the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Severstal, NLMK, coal mining companies in Kuzbass, mining, gold mining, metal, and construction industries.
