On December 1, a grand opening of the Made in Uzbekistan business mission took place at the Korston Hotel in Kazan. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirzhon Asadov, and Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Shamil Ageyev spoke to the guests. First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov addressed the participants of the business mission via video link.
Tomorrow, on December 2, the business mission will continue. Korston will accommodate product displays of advanced Uzbekistani manufacturers. At 15:00, the ballroom will host a New Year’s theatrical performance and a fashion show. The business mission’s programme includes panel and round table discussions, presentations of the export potential in Uzbekistan and wide opportunities for investment projects, meetings of Uzbekistani producers with Russian businesses.
Representatives of more than 100 export-oriented companies will take part in the business mission, such as manufacturers of agricultural produce, fur products, footwear, denim and knitwear, household appliances and electronics, equipment for transformer substations, as well as wine companies.
The goals of the Made in Uzbekistan project are to demonstrate the products of Uzbekistani enterprises, increase the country’s export potential and build long-term cooperation with foreign countries.
