Minister Karimov: Our companies interested in cooperation with Czech businesses

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held a videoconference meeting of the Joint Working Group for Economic, Industrial, Scientific, and Technology Cooperation between Tatarstan and the Czech Republic.

The meeting was attended by the co-chairs of the Joint Working Group, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Martina Tauberova, as well as enterprises from the Czech Republic and Tatarstan.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Tatarstan, the progress in the implementation of joint Tatarstan-Czech projects, summed up the results of activities within the Joint Working Group, and identified promising areas for further bilateral cooperation.

Programmes for the development of the petrochemical, machine-building sectors, and innovative activities were named as promising areas of joint cooperation between the two republics.

Minister Karimov noted that Tatarstan enterprises are interested in developing cooperation with Czech business community (aviation, mechanical engineering, machine tool building, joint development, education, IT technology, internet trade, and supply of agricultural products).
