Labour Valour commemorative plaques to appear at ten Kazan factories

The Enterprise of Labour Valour project was launched in Kazan to honour the labour feats of citizens in Tatarstan, to celebrate the contribution of each enterprise to the cause of the Great Victory. The project was initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.

Commemorative plaques will be installed at the entrance to the buildings of 10 industrial enterprises in Kazan. Each plague will contain brief information about the activities of the enterprise during the War.

“During the Great Patriotic War, our factories manufactured strategically important products for the front. Today, it is important for us to perpetuate the memory of the contribution made by Kazan industrial enterprises to our common victory”, said Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

On July 2, 2020, following the meeting of the Victory Russian Organising Committee, the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the honorary title of the City of Labour Valour to Kazan, among other 18 cities of the country.

Enterprise of Labour Valour plaques are planned to be placed at the Kazan Optical- Mechanical Plant, the Kazan Electrotechnical Plant, the Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Plant, as well as the Kazan Helicopters, Elecon, Vacuummash, the Kazan Aviation Plant, the Chemical Industry State Research Institute, the Kazan Engine-Building Production Association, and the Kazan GiproNIIaviaprom.
