On March 5, the Lenin Cultural and Leisure Centre saw the expanded Collegium meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan under the title of “Results of Industrial and Consumer Market Development in Tatarstan in 2019, Tasks for 2020 and Prospects until 2024. National Projects in Industry”.
The industrial production volume in 2019 amounted to RUB 2,877 billion, the industrial production index constituted 101%. The retail turnover was RUB 952.7 billion. The number of workers involved in industry and trade totalled 481,000.
The priority tasks in 2019 were the implementation of national projects: “Increasing Labour Productivity”, “Digital Economy”, “International Cooperation and Exports”.
In general, 2020 poses many challenges. These are national projects, industrial safety, R&D. An equally important task is the interaction of enterprises with large holdings. But the main thing is to ensure economic growth by removing bottlenecks.
An exhibition of republic’s enterprises was also organised as part of the final Collegium of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. This exhibition was visited by high-ranking guests, including Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farit Mukhametshin, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.
