The 7th International Forum “Anti-Counterfeiting’2019” has opened in Yerevan today, dedicated to the problems of counteracting illicit trafficking in industrial products, including the protection of intellectual property rights. The Forum’s organisers are the Government of the Republic of Armenia with the support from the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the International Anti-Counterfeiting Association.
The Forum was attended by representatives of the Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking of Industrial Products in Tatarstan, Leysan Zakirova and Lilia Gazizullina from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
The main purpose of the Forum is to discuss the issues of protecting markets from illegal trafficking in industrial products, including counterfeit and falsified ones, ensuring intellectual property rights, and to engage in a constructive dialogue to work out joint solutions for creating a civilised market for goods and services.
One of the Forum events also dealt with digital traceability and labelling of goods as tools to ensure the free movement of goods within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The key effect of the digital transformation of commodity circulation should be the “EAEU’s Digital Space for Circulation of Goods”, that is, a space integrating digital processes, information resources, trade interaction means, etc.
