Russian Helicopters transferred 2 medevac Ansats to GTLK

2 October 2019, Wednesday

Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec Corporation) handed over two medevac Ansat helicopters manufactured by the Kazan Helicopters to the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). They are intended to be used in the Russia’s air medical service development programme.

Ansat helicopters were delivered for further operation to the SKOL Airline. They will be engaged in the priority project “Ensuring Timeliness in Providing Emergency Medical Aid to Citizens Living in Hard-to-Access Areas of the Russian Federation”.

The light multipurpose Ansat helicopter was designed by the Kazan Helicopters Design Office. The twin-engine rotorcraft can be used for passenger and VIP transportation, cargo delivery, environmental monitoring, and as a medevac transport. In August 2019, the Federal Air Transport Agency certified an eightfold increase in the resource of the Ansat helicopter’s fuselage.

Ansat with a medical module has a number of serious competitive advantages over peers in its class. First of all, it is a lower cost of maintenance, training, and repairs. In addition, Ansat is certified for the operation at outdoor temperatures ranging from -45°С to +50°С. High-altitude tests of Ansat have also been completed to confirm that it can be operated in mountainous terrain at altitudes up to 3,500 metres.
