This day Nizhnekamskneftekhim, one of the largest petrochemical companies in Eastern Europe, marks 52 years since the day of manufacturing its first products. On this day in 1967, the first tonnes of commercial propane, butane, isobutane, isopentane, pentane, and hexane were poured into rail car tanks and sent to the enterprises of Omsk and Ufa.
Nizhnekamskneftekhim, now a part of the TAIF Group, is rightfully called the point of economic growth in Tatarstan. Processing the straight-run gasoline, the company produces a wide fraction of light hydrocarbons, synthetic rubbers, plastics, monomers, and other petrochemical products.
Nizhnekamskneftekhim is among Top 10 global manufacturers of synthetic rubbers, the world’s largest producer of polyisoprene, and the world’s third largest supplier of butyl rubbers.
