Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting on the preparation and creation of new memorial books for memorialising the prominent figures of the republic’s manufacturing industry. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Albert Karimov. The publications are timed to coincide with the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of the TASSR.
Several books are expected to be published with the support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan; each of them will be devoted to the contribution of industrialists and scientists to the above events in history. The contents will be collected from republic’s enterprises, the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, and from archival data. Three working groups have been established to coordinate this work.
“This should be a joint and well-coordinated work with a clear understanding of the goals, objectives, and – most importantly – the deadlines,” the minister said.
It is planned to publish several books:
- a volume about outstanding leaders of enterprises working in the years of WWII;
- a volume about outstanding leaders of enterprises working in the post-war years (1950s - 2000s);
- a volume with biographies of outstanding leaders of enterprises who have made a significant contribution to the development of our republic.
