Major wage indexation carried out at Kazanorgsintez

4 July 2019, Thursday

Wages were raised for Kazanorgsintez employees. Workers, as the most numerous category of Kazanorgsintez employees (6,000 out of 8,300 of the total employees on the company’s payroll) have the highest wage growth rate. Their wages increased by 30%. White-collar salaries were raised by 10%. Managerial positions have the lowest indexation percentage; here, revenue growth ranged from 3% to 7%.

Since the Kazanorgsintez collective agreement fixes the amount of the bonus payment for the month’s work at 100% of the salary, the bonus pay of labour remuneration will also be increased proportionally after indexation.

According to the results of five months in 2019, the average monthly income of a worker in the industrial production group (except for incomes of professionals and managers) was RUB 49,800. This is 40% higher than the total average monthly income in Tatarstan over the same period. After indexation, the average monthly income of workers is also expected to increase by 30%.

Kazanorgsintez is one of the largest enterprises in the Russian Federation (part of the TAIF Group). It produces 40% of all Russia’s polyethylene and 100% of domestic polycarbonate. The list of products includes polyethylene, PE pipes, phenol, acetone, bisphenol A, polycarbonates. Its annual output is 1.7 million tonnes.
