70,000th Ford Transit manufactured in Tatarstan

The 70,000th Ford Transit vehicle came off the production line of the Ford Sollers facility in Yelabuga. The jubilee version of the LCV is a white all-metal van with a medium wheelbase and a medium-height roof, equipped with a Duratorq diesel engine of 2.2 litres (125 hp) and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Today, special and social line of Ford Sollers comprises more than 55 modifications and continues to expand and improve to meet the changing needs of customers, new requirements and regulations for transportation. These vehicles are manufactured in partnership with accredited body builders with the support from the Ford Sollers R&D Centre in accordance with Ford’s strict quality standards.

It was Ford Transit that was launched first at the Ford Sollers facility in Yelabuga, at the same time with the start of the JV's operating activities in Russia. Today, the Yelabuga plant manufactures Ford Transit of the 4th generation under full cycle technology that include welding, painting, and assembly. Localised production allows the company to offer Russian customers a state-of-the-art product adapted for use in the Russian context at a competitive price. The basic product line includes all-metal van, bus and chassis with various drive types, including 4WD.
