11 December 2018, Tuesday

Today, the Tatarstan ceremonial hall of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre hosted a round table discussion dedicated to the main trends and prospects for the development of nonwoven material production. The event, held as a dialogue, was attended by representatives of the Messe Frankfurt GmbH, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, as well as participants from such enterprises and organisations as the Kazan National Research Technological University, Kamskie Polyany Industrial Park, Danaflex Group, and Tatvoylok. It is important to note that the main constituent of textile production in Tatarstan is nonwovens.

The event featured the presentation of the International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles, Nonwovens and Protective Clothing “Techtextil Russia 2019”. During the meeting, the participants discussed issues of development and promotion of Tatarstan-made industrial textiles at the international level, issues of inventions and innovations, potential areas for application of technical textiles, nonwovens and functional textiles for clothing.

A significant number of enterprises in the industry are small businesses that produce a wide range of consumer, industrial and special-purpose goods: knitwear, school uniforms, overalls, sewn and textile articles, fur coats, hats, and other products.
