This week Kazan was visited by a representative delegation from India. During the visit, which lasted several days, more than 40 executives of Indian pharmaceutical companies explored the conditions for developing pharmaceuticals in Tatarstan, visited the Research and Education Centre for Pharmacy under the Kazan Federal University, the republic’s largest company, Tatkhimpharmpreparaty, the Kazan State Medical University, and took part in a business forum.
On Monday, the Indian delegation headed by Director General of Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) Udaya Bhaskar paid a visit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
On November 20, the first Tatarstan-India Biopharmaceutical Forum took place at the Korston Kazan Business Centre. This event is focused on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises of the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries of Tatarstan and India.
The capabilities of the PSEDA in the cities of Naberezhnye Chelny and Zelenodolsk were presented to Indian companies, the Head of PharmMedPolis of Tatarstan made a presentation of the republic’s pharmaceutical atlas.
In addition, the event provided for the holding of B2B meetings, where experts exchanged contacts and studied the conditions for doing business, taking into account the objectives and needs of the two countries.
