Today, the Congress Centre hosted the first plenary meeting of the International Applied Research Conference “Modelling Geological Structure and Development Processes as a Basis for the Successful Exploitation of Oil and Gas Fields” with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Federal Service for Technical, Environmental, and Nuclear Supervision Aleksey Aleshin, Deputy Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Renad Sagdeyev, President of the Russia’s Union of Oil & Gas Producers Gennady Shmal. The meeting’s moderator was Minister Albert Karimov.
“The development of the oil industry under current conditions is feasible providing that the extraction processes become more efficient… through the digitisation of oil and gas systems for data collection, transmission, data processing and monitoring and control systems, the transfer of well management operations to real time,” Minister Karimov said in his welcoming speech.
Besides, the conference dealt with oil and gas sector as a backbone for technological upgrading of the entire Russian economy and its energy security, the Digital Oilfield, and the scientific engineering. The plenary session was attended by leading scientific community experts, Russian and global industry practitioners, representatives of associations, ministries and agencies, managers and experts of enterprises.
