1 December 2017, Friday

The Tupolev Company has transferred the next long-range Tu-22M3 bomber to the Long-Range Aviation fleet of the Russian Air Force.

On November 30, the aircraft left the flight-test centre of the Kazan Aviation Plant (branch of PAO Tupolev). In the company’s workshops, the Tu-22M3 has went through the full package of planned checks and restoration operations, while the experts of the company’s flight-test centre carried out all ground tests. Also successful were operational readiness, acceptance, and familiarisation flights.

After its handover to the customer, the aircraft traditionally flew over the company’s territory and went to its place of destination.
