On September 14, the second meeting of the China-Russia industrial cooperation sub-committee will take place in Kazan. Within the framework of the event, the participants will discuss Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of shipbuilding, automotive, aircraft engineering and aviation sectors, as well as in aluminium industry.
Among other things, they will consider the progress in the development programme of a wide-body long-range aircraft and the family created on its basis, the development of a civilian heavy helicopter, the exports of power equipment to Russia, and the localisation opportunities for the production of Chinese equipment in Russia.
In addition, the issues for discussion include the opportunities for Chinese companies in the development of a production cluster for high value-added aluminium products based on the Krasnoyarsk Technology Valley in Eastern Siberia, the transfer of some energy-intensive industries from China to Siberia, and the plan to localise the production of measuring equipment and microwave components by China Electronics Technology Instrumentation Co., Ltd.
In the field of economic cooperation, the meeting will focus on attracting Chinese partners for the development of the infrastructure in the SEZ Alabuga.
