Tatarstan and China: great plans for long-term cooperation

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting with the Chinese delegation headed by Mr. Wang Haijun, Director General of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Government of Heilongjiang Province (People's Republic of China).

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation. In addition, guests were informed in detail about the trade, economic and industrial potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the course of the meeting, the participants noted the importance of developing mutually beneficial ties between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Heilongjiang Province within the framework of the Russian-Chinese relations, and also agreed to pay special attention to the expansion of trade, economic, scientific, technology, and humanitarian cooperation.

Further on, the sides confirmed their interest in deepening bilateral relations within the framework of the Agreement expected to be signed between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province (People's Republic of China).

At the end of the meeting, the Chinese side invited representatives of Tatarstan to attend the 4th Chinese-Russian Expo to be held on June 15-19, 2017 in Harbin.
