The Russia’s largest truck manufacturer KAMAZ will supply almost 130 vehicles during Phase Two of the UN World Food Programme project for the re-equipment of the truck fleet used for the transportation of humanitarian aid with Russian-made vehicles.

In addition, by the end of 2018, the leader of the Russian trucking industry will ship to Africa 97 KAMAZ trucks and 30 trailers produced by NEFAZ, a subsidiary of the automotive giant in Bashkiria, alongside with spare part kits. All equipment is adapted to heavy-duty operation under full off-road conditions.

In accordance with the strategic partnership agreement between the Russian Federation Government and WFP signed in 2014, Russia implements contributions to the Programme Fund, paying special attention to increasing the vehicle fleet. The automotive equipment of KAMAZ serves as a Russia’s contribution in kind to the UN World Food Programme Fund. Within Phase One of the truck fleet re-equipping project in 2014-2015, KAMAZ has already delivered over 200 vehicles. Drop-side trucks, dump trucks, fuel-servicing trucks, and mobile truck repair shops were sent to South Sudan, Sudan, Ghana, Uganda, and Afghanistan.

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Tatarstan Sailing Federation under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

During the event, participants heard a report on implementing the commissions given at the previous meeting and approved the rules for admission to the TSF. In addition, the event comprised the presentation of the Federation’s site and emblem concept, as well as the approval of the annual TSF budget.

It is worth adding that the Tatarstan Sailing Federation is actively working on the development of yachting sport in the region, with its development hubs in Kazan, Laishevo, and Naberezhnye Chelny. Kazan hosts a sailing section at a secondary school and the helmsmen courses.

It is to be reminded that during an extraordinary election conference of the Tatarstan Sailing Federation in March this year, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov was elected Chairman at the Board of Trustees of the Tatarstan Sailing Federation.
