The visit began with an introduction to the activities of the Corporate University of the Tatneft Competence Centre, where guests were presented with a corporate system of personnel training and enhancing the skills of the company’s employees.
The SIBUR Togliatti delegation learned the history of oil production and the present-day achievements of Tatarstan oil industry workers during a tour of the museum and production facilities of the Yelkhovneft Oil and Gas Production Department.
As part of their programme, the guests visited the Nizhnekamsk business sector of the company, in particular, the All-Steel Tyre Plant of the Tatneft Group (KAMA tyres). The guests were introduced to the full production cycle of high-quality all-steel truck tyres, including preparatory and assembly production, a vulcanisation workshop and a quality inspection.
The all-steel tyres of the KAMA and KAMA PRO brands were developed based on the international practices and the achievements of the Kama R&D Centre.
Particular attention of the guests was attracted by the exhibition containing a wide range of the company’s products. The Nizhnekamsk All-Steel Tyre Plant produces more than 110 commodity items of all-metal cord and combined tyres for trucks.

On September 21, 2019, the Special Economic Zone Alabuga saw a ceremonial opening of the Transneft-Sintez plant for anti-turbulent additives.
The event was attended by President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev, Vice President of Transneft Pavel Revel-Muroz, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials.
The plant will produce latter-day anti-turbulent additives designed to reduce turbulence in oil pipelines that would make it possible to curb power consumption at pumping stations and to increase the operational reliability of the pipelines.
The expected production volume of the new plant is up to 3,000 tonnes with potential increase in its production capacity up to 10,000 tonnes per year.
Prospective consumers of these products are oil transportation and oil producing companies. The opening of such a plant is an important step towards solving the strategic task of substituting imported products.
Anti-turbulent additives (or drag reducing agents) are solutions or suspensions of high molecular weight hydrocarbon polymers in a solvent.

On September 20, the Lenin Culture and Leisure Complex hosted the opening of a photo exhibition entitled “People of Labour”. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan, and other officials.
The thematic exhibition was organised by the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant in order to popularise blue-collar occupations and present career guidance opportunities for young people.
When coming to the exhibition dedicated to aviation professions, the audience is able to plunge into the working atmosphere at aircraft construction facilities, feel the mood of the labour process, and see the inner workings of the aircraft industry.
People of Labour are the workers of the Kazan Aviation Plant, portrayed in the process of production activities.
The exhibition can be visited until September 27, 2019.

Tatneft opened a new flagship filling station in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The ceremonial presentation of the Tatneft station took place in the city of Tashkent with participation of Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov, Director General of Tatneft Nail Maganov, and Chairman of the Management Board at Uzbekneftegaz Bakhodirzhon Sidikov. The event was also attended by representatives of ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan.
The flagship filling station of Tatneft is equipped with the most advanced equipment and is ready to provide relevant services. All types of fuel will be presented at the filling stations, from Normal-80 of local production to Ai-100 brand produced by the TANECO Oil Refining Complex.
As part of its ceremonial opening, the first 5 customers of the filling station took on 25 litres of gasoline or diesel fuel free of charge.

Three employees of Nizhnekamskneftekhim came back with three bronze medals from PetrochemSkills (based on WorldSkills standards), a sectoral professional excellence competition for petrochemical companies and oil refineries, which was held in Sochi from September 9 to September 14.
Seven Nizhnekamskneftekhim employees represented the company at the competition, 3 competitors and 4 experts. The competition was held in three skills: Chemical Analysis Service, Chemical Technology Operator, and Processing Equipment Repair. Company’s employees competed in each of them.
As a result, an employee of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim R&D Centre, Leysan Mullakaeva, entered the top three in the Chemical Analysis Service skill. The employee of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim Oligomer and Glycol Plant, Andrey Kukarin, showed real mastery in the Chemical Technology Operator skills. Another representative of the company, Radik Aglyamov – a repairman of the Repair Service Centre – closed the top three in the Processing Equipment Repair skill.
The sectoral competition was held by SIBUR Holding together with the WorldSkills Union of Young Professionals. In total, about 100 employees from 5 companies (SIBUR Holding, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Rosneft, TANECO, and Gazprom) took part in the competition in Sochi.

Placed under bankruptcy proceedings, the Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant (KZSK) is the only manufacturer in the Russian Federation in terms of polysulfide oligomers, special grades of rubbers, and a number of other products, including that for the supplies of goods under the government defence order.
In this context, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, in close cooperation with its main creditor, VEB.RF State Development Corporation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the trustee in bankruptcy, continues its efforts on finding ways to rescue the company.
With the framework of the agreement on attracting a strategic partner, the Industrial Technologies Holding (a consumer of KZSK products that has experience in manufacturing and supplying products for the needs of the defence sector), an agreement was signed on September 20 with one of the holding enterprises, providing for keeping the KZSK facilities in operation under bankruptcy administration.
The agreement will allow raising necessary resources, including financial ones, to retain qualified staff and to pay for operational expenses in order to continue the manufacture of a special range of products.
The Industrial Technologies Holding incorporates 19 enterprises. Its total revenues are more than RUB 7 billion; the number of employees is about 3000.
A meeting of the working group on cooperation development of Atlas Copco and LEWA/Nikkiso with enterprises in Tatarstan was held today at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects in the development of the gas engine fuel market, implementation of joint projects in the design and manufacture of compressor and vacuum units, pumping and cryogenic equipment.
The first issue on the agenda of the meeting was cooperation with LEWA / Nikkiso on the supply of natural gas liquefaction (LNG) plants to Tatarstan. Nikkiso is a group of companies working in various lines of business: production of cryogenic pumps, pumps for the chemical industry, medical equipment, aerospace equipment, and the production of metering pumps as the field of LEWA division activities.
Another issue for the discussion was the concept of localising the production of Atlas Copco compressors at the Kazancompressormash. The previous meeting with Atlas Copco was held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan in June this year.
Atlas Copco is a public company, founded in 1873 and located in Sweden, Stockholm. The company produces diesel and electric compressors, mining equipment, loading and hauling equipment, geotechnical and geological survey equipment, drilling tools; industrial tools, road construction equipment.
Today, as part of the second day of the Tatarstan delegation’s visit programme to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister Karimov had a meeting with Khokim of the Tashkent Region Rustam Kholmatov.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tashkent Region regarding the implementation of joint projects.
These include, in particular, the project to create an industrial park in the Tashkent Region (Nurafshon) jointly with the Technopolis Himgrad. The project was presented in June this year.
The applications to take part in the 7th Annual Open Republic’s TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” are closing on September 25, 2019.
The Festival was created with the support of the Tatarstan President in 2013. Its founders are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, Tatmedia Republic’s Agency for Press and Mass Communications, the Council of Municipalities in Tatarstan, the Youth Union of Tatarstan’s Enterprises and Organisations, the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Industrialists, and the Tatarstan Federation of Trade Unions.
The main mission of the event is forming a new generation of workforce, popularising blue-collar and white-collar jobs, and uncovering the creative potential of young professionals.
The project helps young people aged 18 to 35 that work in enterprises and organisations of the republic to express themselves in a creative way – in music, choreography, and art of declamation.
The level of the “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” participants is growing every year, giving the event the status of a republic’s cultural brand. The Festival is televised: all gala concerts are recorded and broadcasted on the TNV channel.
The annual “Russian Tea Forum 2019” and the tea industry exhibition will be held at the Russia State Central Concert Hall (Moscow) on September 28, 2019.
The Forum is a platform where participants – manufacturers and suppliers of teas and related products – can exchange experiences and achievements, seek for new partners, and sign mutually beneficial agreements.
