For the first time in its practice, the Agency for Vocational Public Accreditation and Independent Assessment of Qualifications (ProfAccreditAgetnstvo) conducted most of its activities using distance technologies for accrediting five educational programmes of the Kazan State Power Engineering University. Experts highly appreciated the organisation of this work from the university.

The Kazan State Power Engineering University implements educational programmes that are unique to Tatarstan and the Volga Federal District, aimed at meeting the staffing needs of enterprises and organisations in the fuel and energy sector. The involvement of its administration, teachers and scholars, undergraduates and post-graduate students in the implementation of national and international projects, the support of steady relations with employers, the introduction of innovative educational technologies allow the university to occupy a sustainable position in the regional market of educational services.

 

The work resulted in professional and public accreditation of five educational programmes for bachelor training: “Organisation Management”, “Economics of Enterprises and Organizations in Fuel and Energy Sector in the Field of Training”, “Accounting, Analysis and Audit at enterprises in the Fuel and Energy Sector” and master’s training programmes “Project Management” and “Strategic Management”.

On July 25 at 15.00, the site of the Kazan Family Centre will see an aviation festival entitled “I Opt for the Sky” that is dedicated to the Russian Air Fleet Day. The event organisers are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre.

The festival annually gathers several tens of thousands of people, including professionals and experts of light and mainstream commercial aviation, current and retired employees of the aviation industry, students of aviation specialties, schoolchildren, citizens and guests of Kazan - all those who are not indifferent to the skies. The festival operator is the Kazanskaya Yarmarka.

The event is aimed at popularising aviation among the general public, involving young people in the aviation industry, increasing the prestige of blue-collar and white-collar jobs, and holding a professional festival event for industry experts.

Within the festival, work will be organised for children’s model groups, as well as parachutist demonstrations, various master classes, a concert programme, an award ceremony for distinguished employees in the Tatarstan’s aviation industry, an entertainment programme for children, and a career guidance alley where leading enterprises of republic’s aviation industry will demonstrate their achievements and invite youth to join their ranks.

The start of the 8th Republic’s Annual Open TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity has been announced.

The “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” is the Republic’s annual open TV festival of working youth that has been held in Tatarstan with the support from the President of the Republic since 2013. The Festival is a socially significant governmental project that has no commercial purposes. The mission of the Festival is to shape a new generation of professionals, popularise blue-collar and white-collar jobs, and uncover the creative potential of young people working in republic’s enterprises and organisations.

According to Resolution of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers No. 3611-r dated December 30, 2019, the qualifying stages of the festival will be held from October to November 2020 to include 4 zonal qualifying rounds in the cities of Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Zelenodolsk, and Kazan, and the super finals and gala concert in Kazan.

The updated Regulations of the Festival and all the necessary information are posted on the Festival website, www.bzzm.ru.

Registration fee for participation in the Festival is not charged.

In order to develop investment activities, promote new tools and study the legal framework for investor support, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, jointly with the Tatarstan’s Regional Public Office of United Russia Party Chairman Dmitry Medvedev holds a webinar on the topic “Investment Opportunities in New Legal Environment”. Within the framework of the event, the participants are expected to discuss the development of the regulatory environment, issues of ensuring investment protection, the use of public-private partnership mechanisms, as well as the best practices for their implementation in Russia in 2019-2020.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Atadurdy Bayramov. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.

“Turkmenistan is one of the priority partners of Tatarstan. Regular high-level mutual contacts emphasise a high degree of interest in developing cooperation between us. We attach great importance to developing contacts with Turkmenistan and are pleased to expand mutually beneficial ties. Despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, enterprises of Tatarstan are currently continuing their cooperation with their Turkmen partners”, said Albert Karimov during his welcoming speech. “Tatarstan is interested in further deepening of the diverse cooperation with Turkmenistan. I am glad of this opportunity to continue our joint work and I hope for further fruitful cooperation for the benefit of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan”, he also noted in his speech.

“Tatarstan is a reliable partner for our country in all areas of activities, including the fields of economy and industry”, said Atadurdy Bayramov during his speech.

Foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan exceeded US$ 120 million in 2019, which is 5 times higher than the foreign trade turnover in 2018.

Tatarstan is actively implementing the activities of the National Project titled “Increasing Labour Productivity and Supporting Employment”. The main contractor is the Regional Centre of Competence in the Field of Labour Productivity (Centre for Energy-Saving Technologies of Tatarstan under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers), work of which is estimated by companies at 92%.

A study of satisfaction with the work of regional centres of competence was held by Magram Market Research as requested by the Federal Centre of Competence in the Field of Labour Productivity. The participants to the study were asked to evaluate five statements, where each indicator was evaluated on a 5-point scale:

  • Results of the project to increase labour productivity, being implemented jointly with the RCC, will positively affect the financial results of my company: 4.4;
  • RCC experts are highly professional and have made a significant contribution to achieving the goals of the implemented projects: 4.6;
  • We have an understanding of how to independently continue our work at the company to achieve productivity growth indicators: 4.5;
  • Employees of the workgroup in our company received enough knowledge and skills for the further implementation of projects in our company: 4.3;
  • The involvement of our company’s employees in the project to increase labour productivity grew after working with RCC experts: 4.3.

The participants in the national project are 81 enterprises of basic non-primary sectors of the Republic of Tatarstan.

During his working trip to Tatarstan, Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan Shamil Ageyev. The main goal of the negotiations was the implementation of industrial projects in the Republic of Tatarstan, including those in the Alabuga SEZ.

Dmitry Kurochkin dwelled on the results of the collaborative efforts of the system of chambers of commerce and industry, the Industrial Development Fund, and regional enterprises on the expert evaluation of industrial projects and rendering consulting assistance to enterprise managers in order to be granted targeted loans.

Also, Dmitry Kurochkin visited the Alabuga SEZ Office. Then the CCI delegation made a tour of Alabuga SEZ resident companies, such as Danaflex-Alabuga, which produces flexible packaging materials for food industry, and August, which produce plant protection products.

In addition, the CCI delegation, jointly with employees of the Alabuga SEZ, met with the initiators of the investment project entitled “Production of Aquaculture Feed and Dermatological Fat Using Biotechnologies” Erat Badikov and Salavat Magzanov and discussed the project’s feasibility study and its financial model.

Russian Helicopters Holding (part of State Corporation Rostec) handed over two Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters manufactured by the Kazan Helicopters to the Yamal Airlines; both of them are intended to fulfil missions in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and will be based in Salekhard.

Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters made for the Yamal Airlines are used to transport goods and passengers. The rotorcrafts are equipped with two gas-turbine highly economical domestic engines TV3-117VM and main rotor transmission VR-14. The power of each engine is 2200 hp. Helicopters are equipped with auxiliary power units, providing the function of an emergency source of electricity in the event of a generator failure.

Each helicopter is equipped with an external cable suspension, capable of transporting cargo, with a maximum weight of up to 4 tonnes, depending on the flight range, altitude of landing sites above sea level, air temperature, and a number of other factors. Also, placement locations are prepared for the installation of an on-board boom with a winch that is capable to carry out rescue operations. Inside the cabins, locations are prepared for additional fuel tanks.

Mi-8MTV-1 multi-purpose helicopters have unique flight technical and operational characteristics, they can be used in almost all climatic conditions. With its design and equipment, а Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter can be operated autonomously based on unequipped sites.

Guided by the task of informing the general public and federal government authorities in the issues of building the socio-economic potential of the constituent entities of Russia and reducing disparities in the level and quality of life of their citizens, the OIA News of Russia and the editors of the Economic Policy of Russia journal are compiling a 2020 Summary Overview entitled “Russian Regional Development as Strength of State” on the RIA News of Russian Regions portal.

Compiling the 2020 Summary Overview “Russian Regional Development as Strength of State” is aimed at informational assistance in ensuring equal opportunities for the implementation of the economic, political and social rights of citizens throughout the country as established by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and federal laws, improving the quality of their lives, ensuring sustainable economic growth and the scientific and technology development of regions, increasing the competitiveness of the Russian economy on world markets based on the balanced and sustainable socio-economic development of the constituent entities and municipalities of the Russian Federation, as well as the maximum involvement of the public in solving regional and local problems.

On July 7, 2020, within the Innoprom Online International Industrial Marathon, the main strategic session “Global Industry vs Global Epidemic” will be held with the participation of top officials from Russian executive authorities and CEOs of international companies, accompanied by more than 20 events within the industry-wise tracks “Industrial Automation”, “Innovation and Technology”, “Sustainable Development”, and “International Cooperation”.
