Why such a national project is needed, what results are shown by the companies that participate in it, and what is the benefit to the country. This was explained by Aleksandr Molodtsov, Director of the Productivity and Efficiency Department at the Ministry of Economic Development, to the MIR 24 TV channel:

“The Increasing Labour Productivity national project is scheduled until 2024. Today, the goals are formulated so that at least 6,300 enterprises in the country should receive targeted support. Our task is to ensure no less than five percent growth in labour productivity at these enterprises annually. This will grow into a greater amount of added value, which in itself means that enterprises will earn more, pay more taxes to the budget, and achieve an increase in wages.

We have new events added to help us scale things up. Based on the results of our work, enterprises begin not only to produce more products and work faster. We need to help enterprises answer the question of what to do with these products. If they already understand where to send them, that is good, but we also help them export.

We have a partner, the Russian Export Centre, with which we have a School of Exports joint project. Even our first enterprises have already achieved first ever export contracts amounted to over RUB 3 billion. Then, they will do this on a permanent and systematic basis. There are many such events.

We expect that the budget expenditures will amount to RUB 23 billion by 2024”.
