“Dear colleagues and residents of Tatarstan!
The Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus is a State holiday that reflects the main moral values of our peoples, such as patriotism, solidarity, respect for our history, and striving for good and justice.
It was on this day in 1997 that the Presidents of the two states signed the “Treaty on the Union between Belarus and Russia”, which initiated the process of mutual integration of the countries.
Noteworthy is that Russia remains the largest trading partner of Belarus, accounting for more than half of the Belarusian foreign trade turnover. In 2017, the foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Belarus was US$ 1,050,811,000.
On behalf of the Government of Tatarstan and on my personal behalf, please accept our most sincere and warmest congratulations.
On this festive day, I wish everyone good health, happiness, optimism, new successes for the sake of prosperity of our fraternal peoples, strengthening of existing relations and further beneficial cooperation in all spheres of our activities!”
