On 10 January 2012, during a teleconference on estimating the performance of executive bodies in the Russian regions, Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin put Tatarstan in the number of Russia’s strong regions. Tatarstan Acting President, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov was participating at the teleconference.
Late in December 2011, the Russian Federation Audit Chamber announced audit results concerning the targeted and effective use of federal budget resources under the State programme “Creation of Hi-Tech Technoparks in the Russian Federation” in 2006-2010.

On 26 December 2011, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov took part in the meeting of the Council for implementation of laws of the Republic of Tatarstan about official languages chaired by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov. In the course of the meeting, Ravil Zaripov spoke on the issue of “Results and prospects of the laws of the Republic of Tatarstan about official languages in the field of production and turnover of consumer goods and services”
On 24 December 2011, Kazan hosted the Republic’s Mastership Contest for “mechanical technician” speciality among garment enterprises of light industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Contest’s programme included the examination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. During the theoretical part of the contest, the participants competed in the issues of main occupation and safety regulations. The practical part of the contest included an adjustment and tuning of the sewing equipment.

On 24 December 2011, in accordance with the Plan of Priority Measures for Implementation of the Strategy of Light Industry Development in the Republic of Tatarstan for the Period until 2015, the FGBOU SPO “Kazan College of Technology and Design” hosted the Republic’s Mastership Contest for “mechanical technician” speciality among garment enterprises of light industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 22 December 2011, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the meeting related to the issues of providing tourists with meals of the Tatar ethnic cuisine in the restaurants and cafes of Kazan. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism, the Executive Committee of Kazan Municipality, the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Kazan and Tatarstan, ANO Supervisory Board of the 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan, and chain restaurants.
On 22 December 2011, within the framework of the visit programme of the delegation of the Moscow Department for Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship headed by Deputy Head of the Department Michael Ann, a meeting was held in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Rashat Fattakhov and delegation representatives. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of innovative industry development.

In the period of 16-17 December 2011, Tatarstan delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Igor Nosov made a working trip to the Province of Styria (Republic of Austria). This visit was within the framework of implementing the agreements reached during the visit of Austrian President Heinz Fischer to the Republic of Tatarstan in May 2011.

On 15 December 2011, the Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov chaired the Close-out Session of the Inter-Sectoral Working Group engaged in the implementation of the Lean Production methodology. In the course of the session, activities of the Lean Production Working Group in 2011 were summarized and suggestions on the events to be included to the action plan of the Working Group for 2012 were discussed. Ravil Zaripov delivered Letters of Gratitude to the representatives of the Tupolev Kazan State Technical University and mass media.
