Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a videoconference meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov with the representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan abroad and in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The event was attended by officials and executives of ministries, agencies, and civic organisations of Tatarstan.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov summed up the work of the Tatarstan representative offices in the first quarter of 2017, and informed their heads about major upcoming events, including KazanSummit-2017, the meeting of the Council of the Heads of Governments of the Eurasian Economic Community and the Heads of Governments of the CIS countries, the meeting of the Russia-Czech Republic Intergovernmental Commission, etc.

In addition, Albert Karimov identified the priority tasks and promising areas for activities of the representative offices of Tatarstan abroad and in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

In Tatneft, based on the Yunost Health Camp, a two-day Upstream Forum of young employees in the Exploration and Production business area is being held on May 12 and 13 with the participation of young professionals from the company and undergraduate students of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute.

The aim of the event is to involve promising young workers in tackling urgent problems of oil exploration and production within the framework of the Tatneft Group Development Strategy until 2025.

During the forum, its participants will discuss the development strategy of exploration and production in the company, the road map of this business area, and key projects until 2025, and will undergo a group training for team building.

Ten participating teams will present their project ideas for the jury's appraisal; presentation and discussion of the projects will also take place. The best papers will be awarded with diplomas.

On May 11, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a working meeting with the Head of the Russian Office of Haitian International, Aleksandr Dokuchaev, on the establishment of the Centre for Innovative Technologies in the Field of Production of Polymer Products in Kazan.

Based on this centre, it is planned to create a pilot test production for testing moulds and practical training, by installing injection moulding machines (thermoplastic automatic machines), all necessary peripheral equipment (for preparation, loading, material dosing, mould control), and manipulator robots.

In addition, the Centre for Innovative Technologies is expected to have a teaching class with an aim of conducting training both for beginner manufacturers and for those having considerable experience.

The meeting was also attended by heads of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, Technopolis Himgrad, and principal of KNITU-KKhTI Herman Dyakonov, who spoke about the New Silk Road Institute project with the participation of China and Kazakhstan, whose goal would be to create a cooperation platform in the field of higher education.

Today in the Drozhzhanovsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan, a ceremonial event was held to celebrate the 110th anniversary from the birth of Pyotr Dementiev, Minister of Aviation Industry of the USSR.

The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Head of the Drozhzhanovsky District Aleksandr Shadrikov, and others.

The honoured guests visited the museum park of military equipment named after Pyotr Dementiev, the twice Hero of Socialist Labour awarded with nine orders of Lenin, in the village of Staroye Drozhzhanoe. They also laid flowers to the Eternal Flame and the bust of Colonel-General Dementiev. In the local House of Culture, a concert was held in honour of the 110th anniversary of Peter Dementiev with the participation of vocal and dance groups from Tatarstan.

Pyotr Dementiev was born in the Ubei village, Drozhzhanovsky District of Tatarstan, in 1907. During the WWII, he was responsible for the full-scale production of aircraft, occupying the post of the First Deputy People's Commissar of the Aviation Industry. He held the position of the aviation industry minister from 1965 until his death in 1977.

Today Kazan hosted the opening of the Tatarstan’s first Centre for Qualification Assessment in Nanoindustry. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Rusnano Board, Director General of Infrastructure and Educational Programmes Foundation Andrey Svinarenko, Director General of Inter-Sectoral Association of Nanoindustry Olga Kryukova, Director General of National Agency for Qualification Development Aleksandr Leibovich and Director General of Innovation and Production Technopark Idea Sergey Yushko.

Opening the Centre, Andrei Svinarenko noted that Tatarstan is one of the few regions in the Russian Federation that have its own programme for nanoindustry development and is a leader in the output of manufactured nanotechnology products.

Based on this Centre, it is planned to conduct professional examinations, which would allow establishing a correspondence between the skill level of experts in the field of nanoindustry and the requirements of professional standards. For the time being, it is possible to improve qualifications in two areas: an expert in the field of composite materials production control and an expert in the field of process-tested products. One more polymer-related area is scheduled for the introduction by the autumn. The first company to use the services of the new qualification centre will be Tatneft.

On May 23, the annual professional holiday - Chemist's Day - will take place in Nizhnekamsk. This year, the holiday will be held under a new logo developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Traditionally, the holiday will be a bright event, demonstrating the best sectoral achievements of the republic’s enterprises and chemical science, with the ceremony of awarding the most successful teams and outstanding personalities. The creative atmosphere of the holiday, the venue for which is the hospitable Ice Palace in Nizhnekamsk, will be enhanced by vocal and choreographic compositions, demonstration of video plots, and the projection show.

In the period from 22 to 26 May 2017, the Innovation Week Forum will take place in the Stavropol Territory. This year, the Forum will be held at several venues in four cities: Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, and Budennovsk.

The mission of the event is studying the global experience of innovative development, problems in the implementation of innovation projects at the regional level and ways to solve them, as well as attracting investments in hi-tech projects.

The programme of the Innovation Week 2017 will include the plenary meeting with participation of the top officials of the Stavropol Krai, leading business representatives, heads of universities, and representatives of the scientific community; breakout sessions and round tables, within which it is planned to coordinate the efforts of the representatives of business, science and government authorities in order to achieve a synergetic effect and eventually improve the economic welfare of the Stavropol Territory; training activities aimed at improving the qualitative knowledge level of regional business leaders, heads of start-up companies, and young entrepreneurs within their sectoral specifics.

Within the Innovation Week, the regional stage of the Federal Accelerator for Technology Start-Ups “Generation S” will also take place, organised by the Fund for Promoting Innovative Development of the Stavropol Territory and RVC.

 

 

 

 

Today, the House of Tatarstan Government hosted the meeting between President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan Wu Yingqin. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Greeting the guests, the head of the republic said that Tatarstan appreciates ​​the current high level of relations with China. According to the Tatarstan President, joint activities are carried out with Chinese companies in the fields of petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, automotive, information, agriculture, construction, health care, and tourism. For instance, last year in Mendeleyevsk, the Ammoni factory for the production of mineral fertilisers was launched, which was built with the participation of the Chinese National Chemical Engineering Corporation. In addition, Haier commissioned a factory in Naberezhnye Chelny to manufacture refrigeration equipment.

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his confidence that activities of Wu Yingqin as Consul General of China in Kazan will contribute to the further strengthening of fruitful cooperation between Tatarstan and the PRC within the framework of the vigorously developing Russian-Chinese relations.

On Victory Day of May 9, Kazan residents will traditionally take part in a nationwide patriotic campaign and will join the ranks of the “Immortal Regiment”. The event will start at 15.00.

The column will be formed at Karl Marx Street; the participants’ assembly point is at the crossroads of Tolstoy and Karl Marx streets. The “Immortal Regiment” column will march along Karl Marx Street through Svobody Square to Lobachevsky Street, past the Chyornoye Ozero Park, and along Kremlyovskaya Street through Pervoe Maya Square with exit to the Millennium Square. The length of the whole route will be more than 2 kilometers.

On the Millennium Square, participants will see an interactive festive programme organised by the City Administration of Kazan, including the performance of the thousandth choir of the Singing Kazan project. It is a tradition that the “Immortal Regiment” column in Kazan will be led by a copy of the Victory Banner. The Banner of more than 200 square metres in area will be spread, as in 2016, by the participants of the international youth educational project “Union: Heirs of Victory” representing all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan invites everyone interested to take part in the seminar dubbed “Exports via E-Commerce Channels”, organised jointly with the Russian Export Centre as part of the Tatarstan’s programme of export development, including that with the use of electronic trading platforms.

In addition to the report devoted to the specific features of online trade at the Tmall and Alibaba platforms, the seminar’s programme is expected to include presentations by representatives of major electronic trading platforms such as e-Bay, SPSR, and Shiptor, which will provide practical recommendations on the arrangement of exports by enterprises in Tatarstan via e-commerce channels (issues of purchase and sales, logistics, customs clearance, and return of goods).
