On July 7, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov arrived in the Sverdlovskaya Oblast to visit the Innoprom 2019 International Industrial Trade Fair, which takes place in Yekaterinburg from July 8 to July 11, 2019.
The tenth, anniversary exhibition of Innoprom 2019 will be held this year at the new Congress Centre as part of the Yekaterinburg EXPO IEC. The theme of the exhibition is “Digitalisation: Integrated Solutions”. International participants at the exhibition include industrial enterprises from Germany, Japan, Italy, China, Switzerland, Korea, the EEC countries, and others. The partner country is the Republic of Turkey.
The business programme of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov began on July 8 with a tour of the exhibition pavilions, where about 600 companies (of which more than 200 foreign enterprises) presented their products. The delegation examined the exhibition of the Republic of Turkey, the pavilion of which featured over 40 companies. Russia was represented by pavilions of such enterprises as Rostec, ChTPZ, UGMK, Laser Centre and others.
Another important event of this day was the signing of a mutual cooperation agreement between RariTEK Holding and Gazinvestproekt on the development of the gas-engine market in the Tyumenskaya Oblast.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will implement a new measure of government support for the digital industry transformation: partial subsidies towards the cost of developing digital platforms and software products in order to create and/or develop high-tech industrial products.
The rules for granting subsidies were approved by Government Decree No. 529 of April 30, 2019.
The competitive selection is scheduled from August 1 to August 20, 2019.

Today, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic hosted a regular meeting of the Tatarstan Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products.
The meeting discussed issues of introducing mandatory labelling of shoes and the results of an experiment to introduce input quality control of cable products at social facilities under construction in the republic.
Today, the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted a briefing on the visit to Tatarstan of a Turkmenistan delegation led by Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, and Principal of the Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov.
Cooperation of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan is fruitfully developing in various areas.
On June 22, 2019, the delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Turkmenistan Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov arrived in Kazan. The Turkmenistan delegation included heads of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as large state corporations. Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow arrived in Tatarstan on the morning of June 23, 2019.
Government delegations of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan made a tour of the exhibition of industrial enterprises near the Kazan International Airport. Later, a meeting was held in the Kazan Kremlin, with industrial cooperation as the main topic for discussion. Particular attention was paid to the opening of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan and increasing the number of flights between Kazan and Ashgabat, which are operated by a Turkmenistan airline.
In conclusion, a number of agreements were signed between the parties.
Today, Kazan saw a business visit by CEO of Falk Beratung GmbH Thomas Falk and President of the Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division Robert Radimeczky. The reason for the visit was the interest of Atlas Copco in cooperation with major petrochemical and mechanical engineering enterprises of Tatarstan.
As part of their business programme, Mr. Radimeczky and Dr. Falk visited the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, where they had a meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov. The topic for discussion was the organisation of cooperation and localisation of production in Tatarstan.
In the afternoon, the guests visited the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, where they were greeted by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The parties discussed Atlas Copco’s proposals on promising areas of cooperation.
Atlas Copco is a public company, founded in 1873 and located in Sweden, Stockholm. In 1992, Atlas Copco opened its representative office in Russia, and in 1996, a Russian subsidiary, ZAO Atlas Copco. Its turnover in 2016 amounted to EUR 10 billion, and the number of employees exceeds 44,000.
The company produces diesel and electric compressors, mining equipment, loading and hauling equipment, geotechnical and geological survey equipment, drilling tools; industrial tools, road construction equipment.
On June 11, the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard saw a ceremony of launching the eighth small rocket ship of Project 21631 (developed by the Zelenodolsk Design Office), which was given the name of “Ingushetia”. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Russian Navy, officials of the Zelenodolsk Municipality, heads of Ak Bars Holding Company, Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation, as well as representatives of designer and contracting organisations.
The small missile ships of Project 21631, being built at the shipyard since 2010 for the Russian Navy, are multi-purpose river-sea vessels equipped with the most advanced missile, artillery, anti-sabotage, AA, and radio-electronic weapons. The ships are dedicated to the protection and defence of national economic zones.
Seven ships of this project, the lead ship Grad Sviyazhsk and the follow-on ships Uglich, Velikiy Ustyug, Zelenyy Dol, Serpukhov, Vyshniy Volochek, and Orekhovo-Zuyevo are already assigned to the Russian Navy. Small rocket ship Zelenyy Dol was recognised as the best small missile ship in the Russian Navy by winning a prize of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy in the missile firing and was also named as the best ship in the Black Sea Fleet.
Today, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with Director General of Haitian CIS Ilya Plyutov. The meeting was devoted to discussing the opportunity of localising Haitian Group production in Tatarstan. Representatives of Haitian CIS were invited to open a facility in the Technopolis Himgrad with three divisions: a service centre, a finished goods warehouse, and a training centre.
Albert Karimov noted that Tatarstan is an ultimate competence centre in the field of plastics processing. A good investment climate, appropriate infrastructure and special preferences make the republic a suitable area for the localisation of Haitian Group facilities.
The Haitian Group is a company founded in 1966 in China (Hong Kong). It has 18 factories in 10 countries (China, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Japan) and has been the world leader in the production of plastic injection moulding machines since 1994.
In addition, the Haitian Group manufactures turning machining equipment for the metal industry and equipment for the mechanical engineering industry (servo drives).
Today, Minister Karimov had a meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amr Nassar.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019, which takes place in St. Petersburg from June 6 to June 8.
Albert Karimov emphasised the importance of today's meeting: “The Government of Tatarstan has always attached great importance to developing contacts with Egypt within the framework of Russian-Egyptian relations. And we are glad to expand our mutually beneficial ties”.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of the upcoming visit by the Tatarstan business delegation to the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is tentatively scheduled for the end of July. The business mission will involve the participation of Tatarstan’s leading industrial enterprises.
Trade and economic relations between Tatarstan and Egypt are continuously developing in a multitude of areas: mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, agriculture, IT sphere, and others. The 2018 foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Egypt amounted to more than US$ 20 million.
On May 27, Kazan saw the Tatarstan-Shandong Business Forum held as part of the visit by a delegation from the city of Yantai (Shandong Province of China).
The Forum took place in the Pushkin Conference Hall of the Korston Hotel and was attended by representatives of major enterprises of Tatarstan and China from various industries: petrochemicals and energy, textiles, health care, agriculture, etc.
The Forum was moderated by Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev. On behalf of Tatarstan, guests from China were welcomed by Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina. In their opening speeches, representatives of China, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of CPPCC Han Jinfeng and Consul General of PRC in Kazan Wu Yingqin, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome of the delegation and noted the importance of partnership relations between Tatarstan and China.
The Forum continued with B2B meetings where representatives of companies from Tatarstan and China were able to discuss opportunities for their further cooperation. In total, more than 70 Tatarstan and Chinese businesses took part in the Forum.
The Tatarstan-Shandong Business Forum ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Chinese-Russian Union of Enterprises and the Machine-Building Cluster of Tatarstan.
