At the final meeting of the Expert Council of the Industry Development Fund, a number of loans were approved for the implementation of projects in Tatarstan.

With the aid of a RUB 500 million loan, Coşkunöz Alabuga will launch, in the territory of the SEZ Alabuga, a workshop with progressive and transfer stamping lines for import substitution of stamped parts for car chassis of AutoVAZ and other automakers. These parts are intended for the new unified platform of Lada and Renault cars. The project involves the introduction of new technology for stamping chassis, axles, and suspension parts on progressive and transfer stamping lines, as well as an arc bending technology.

The Plant of Brake Mechanisms from Naberezhnye Chelny will expand, using a loan of RUB 104.5 million, the production of brake pads for trucks. The company will acquire equipment that would make it possible to manufacture brake pads with a special cataphoretic coating. It is resistant to physical and chemical impacts and lasts eight times longer compared to traditional coatings.

The company intends to export about 15% of its products to European manufacturers of truck components, and sell them as spare parts in the secondary market. The remaining products are planned to be sold on the Russian market.

The next Polymer Day chaired by Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev took place on December 13, 2019 at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.

The main issue on the agenda was the proposal to create a Fund for the Development of Petrochemical Complex in Tatarstan.

The project concept was presented by representatives of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding. It is expected that the fund will act in order to promote the development and intensification of innovation in the oil, gas, and chemical spheres of the republic.

The invited participants - representatives of Tatarstan’s industrial enterprises, such as Tatneft, Kazanorgsintez, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, and others - discussed in detail the structure and specific features of such a fund. Colleagues touched on the topics of financial support, goals and objectives, as well as the form of governing the organisation.

Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with guests from the State of Palestine.

The delegation headed by Hebron Governor Jibreen al-Bakri was composed of representatives of the Palestinian business community.

The participants to the meeting expressed mutual consent to develop bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the State of Palestine.

Governor Al-Bakri outlined potential areas for mutual partnership, such as the economic sector, agriculture, tourism, culture, and education. During the meeting, representatives of Palestine stated their proposals for establishing business ties with the companies in Tatarstan in the fields of mechanical engineering, electric power, and supplies of agricultural produce (grain crops and others).

In conclusion, the Palestinian guests thanked the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry for the warm welcome and expressed hope for further cooperation in the future, in particular, in the format of B2B meetings.

Hebron is one of the 16 provinces of the State of Palestine located in the southern part of the West Bank of Jordan, the capital is the city of Hebron. The province’s population is about 600,000 people; its territory is 1,060 square kilometres.

The PromRating Agency published the first study on manufacturing industry, which was based on the attitude of Tatarstan residents to industrial enterprises in the region.

According to the results of the study, the leaders in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were TANECO, KAMAZ, and Essen. Among parent companies, Rostec, Tatneft, and TAIF were the best.

The research model included such aspects as the interaction of people with companies, for example, conditions and remuneration of labour, career opportunities, investment in local infrastructure and social burden, environmental component, contribution to the development of the city, republic, and the country in general.

The study of the loyalty level of Tatarstan residents to socially significant industrial enterprises in the region covered companies located in the ten largest cities of the republic, where the vast majority of Tatarstan residents live.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the joint Working Group of the Republic of Finland and the Republic of Tatarstan on the development of cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science and technology.

The working group was created in 2000, and it was the 16th meeting today. Guests and participants was welcomed by Deputy Minister Ildar Mingaleyev. An opening speech from the Finnish side was delivered by the co-chair of the working group, General Director for Innovations and Enterprise Financing Department, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland Ilona Lundström.

The working group was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Finland in Moscow, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland, as well as executives of Finnish companies. Presentations were made by representatives of consulting firms and higher educational institutions of Finland.

The meeting was also attended by experts from ministries, agencies, and universities of Tatarstan. They outlined issues of mutual cooperation with Finland in the areas of environment and use of natural resources, circular economy, investment, educational programmes, and the tourism market.

Summing up the meeting, the co-chairs decided to appoint the next meeting for the second half of 2020 in Finland. Ildar Mingaleyev concluded by suggesting to include gas engine fuel and innovative technologies on the next meeting’s agenda.

Deputy Minister Aleksey Savelchev met today with representative of the Technological Sovereignty Exports Association Mirjalol Khusanov.

The introductory meeting was held at a working level, the participants discussed the potential for cooperation between the Association and companies in Tatarstan.

Mirjalol Khusanov is responsible for the development of foreign projects in the Association. At the meeting, he spoke in detail about the features of this community.

According to him, the Association represents the “second step” of ensuring the entry of Russian manufacturers of high-value-added goods and services to the international market.

The Association is working to create centres of Russian technology as points of continuous presence of Russia’s companies and universities, channels for science and technology exports and imports of talent in foreign countries. Such centres are already being created in Vietnam and Turkey and are scheduled in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, South Africa, the UAE, and the CIS countries.

Aleksey Savelchev emphasised that the Association’s activities are of interest to industrial enterprises in Tatarstan, both for exporting their goods and services, and for obtaining new knowledge and technology from foreign partners.

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted an introductory meeting with Turkish enterprises in the field of textiles, energy, and mechanical engineering.

Representatives of the companies presented their products and spoke about the activities of enterprises.

The invited Turkish manufacturers include such companies as:

  • Başyazıcıoğlu et ve et ürünleri is engaged in meat processing and the production of textile yarns;
  • Emre Ray Enerji ve İnşaat works in energy, construction, transport, communications sectors in the field of railway systems;
  • Öztürkler Un Sanayi produces flour from the highest grades of wheat, the capacity of flour production is 500 tonnes/day;
  • Merkon Makina is an automatic precast concrete plant, has fully and semi-automatic machines for concrete coating, machines for the production of concrete pipes of all diameters and shapes, as well as mixers and conveyor belts.

Today, Kazan GiproNIIAviaprom hosted a meeting with industrial enterprises of Tatarstan under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The meeting was attended by members of the Tatarstan Government, representatives of the Presidential Office, the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries and agencies, heads of municipalities, as well as heads of republic’s industrial enterprises. The main topic of the meeting was to summarise the results of industrial development in the first half of the current year and to outline the tasks for its second half.

Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov made a report at the meeting. He noted that in the first half of this year, the republic’s energy system performed with reliable indicators: the industrial output in the energy sector amounted to RUB 82.5 billion, and the industrial production index was 110.0%. In addition, the minister outlined the overall results for the first half of the year: industrial output amounted to RUB 1,402 billion, and IPI constituted 101.3%.

During the meeting, reports were heard from representatives of republic’s industrial enterprises on results of their activities in the industry.

The Tatarstan President made a closing speech. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed the Tatarstan Government to summarise the performance of industrial enterprises and analyse the changes in their industrial output on a quarterly basis.

Due to the high interest shown by enterprises and participants to the first republic’s Engineer of the Year contest established on the instruction of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the organisers announced that applications continue to be accepted until July 31, 2019.

Winners of the Contest will be entitled to take part in trainings at Russian or foreign engineering universities.

The contest is held in 12 categories broken down by republic’s industries, such as

Within the framework of the Tatarstan delegation’s business programme at the Innoprom 2019 International Industrial Trade Fair, several working meetings with officials took place.

So, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov met today with Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Mustafa Varank.

The participants to the meeting noted the interest of Tatarstan in the development of trade and economic relations with the Republic of Turkey. Turkey is one of the leading foreign economic partners of our republic; many intensive business contacts are established as of today. In Tatarstan, various Turkish business projects are being successfully implemented, and many Turkish enterprises are operating.

Also within the framework of the exhibition, the Tatarstan delegation had a meeting with Director General of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company Andrey Kozitsyn. The parties discussed issues and further development of mutual cooperation.

Another significant event today was the meeting between representatives of Tatarstan and CEO of Coşkunöz Holding Erdem Acay, where the parties also discussed the prospects for a joint partnership.
