A delegation of industrialists from the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Director of Rubber Products Plant Gulomjon Ibragimov is having a working visit to Tatarstan. The main purpose of their visit is to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of gas engine technology, agriculture, and other joint projects.

In particular, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan saw a meeting with representatives of the Uzbekistan side where they expressed an interest in participating in the republic’s programme of gas engine fuel market development.

Further at the meeting, Director General of Global Gaz Montaj (Uzbekistan) Bakhodir Mirzakarimov spoke about the company’s expertise in implementing projects both in Uzbekistan and in Kazakhstan.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Gazprom Gas Engine Fuel, RariTEK, Zelenodolsk Shipyard and a number of gas station operators in Tatarstan that are interested in the competencies of the experts from Uzbekistan.

The parties also planned that visits of the delegations with representatives of Tatarstan’s companies will take place in the future with an aim of a detailed study of the gas engine fuel market structure in Uzbekistan.

Tatarstan was visited by Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom. His working trip began with a visit to the Innopolis University, where an exhibition of Tatarstan enterprises was organised. It presented the displays of innovative and import-substituting products manufactured by enterprises from Tatarstan for the needs of Gazprom. During the tour, Vitaly Markelov was accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The guests saw samples of gas engine equipment: passenger cars and gas-powered agricultural vehicles, including MTZ tractors. The exhibition featured the developments of such companies from Tatarstan and Russian regions as Elektropribor, KMPO, RariTEK, Tasma, Kazancompressormash, etc.

At the stand of the Zelenodolsk Shipyard, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vitaly Markelov signed an action plan for the implementation of a pilot project for the use of river vessels operating on liquefied natural gas on republic’s tourist routes. The construction of such a ship is currently launched at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard.

After viewing the exhibition, a meeting was held on implementing the roadmap for interaction between Gazprom and republic’s industrial complex. At the meeting, promising cooperation areas were also mentioned: development of gas filling infrastructure, construction of gas pipelines, and an Innopolis University project to develop an information site for integrated geomechanical modelling of gas fields.

Today, on the sidelines of the 9th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the key event for the republic was the signing of an action plan (“Roadmap”) between the Tatarstan Government and Gazprom on the implementation of investment projects “Construction of a Natural Gas Liquefaction Complex in Tatarstan” and “Construction of a Network of Cryogenic Filling Stations in Tatarstan”.

The signing was attended by Head of the Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov and Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee Vitaly Markelov.

The Roadmap provides for the construction of a natural gas liquefaction complex and the network of cryogenic filling stations in Tatarstan.

An Agreement on the implementation of these investment projects was signed between the Government of Tatarstan and Gazprom on June 7, 2019, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum’2019.

Many good parting words were said today on the RariTEK Group site to the participants of the Blue Corridor - Gas into Engines 2019 gas motor rally. Representatives of the Gazprom Gas Motor Fuel and KAMAZ, top executives of the RariTEK Group, colleagues, relatives, and friends came to support the participants.

The participating vehicles include the KAMAZ 651156 truck tractor with a grain-carrying semitrailer, the LOTOS 105 bus of RariTEK production, and the Hyundai HD 78 van that run on liquefied natural gas (methane). The rally also involved the crews of the Gazprom Gas Motor Fuel and KAMAZ.

The rally will start on September 20. The event is organised by Gazprom and Germany’s Uniper SE. The race features cars, trucks and passenger vehicles powered by compressed and liquefied natural gas. The rally demonstrates the reliability of methane-driven vehicles and focuses on stress on long-distance and ultra-long-distance transportation opportunities for passengers and goods.

The length of the rally section in Russia is 2,760 kilometres. Its route will pass through the Rostovskaya, Voronezhskaya, Belgorodskaya, Moskovskaya, Novgorodskaya, and Leningradskaya oblasts. The race will finish on October 3 at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg.
