Tatneft filling stations and Magnit retail chain have launched a joint pilot project, the opening of retail outlets at the company's filling stations.
Testing the first retail outlets under the Magnit brand began at a Tatneft gas station in the Krasnodar Territory, where the retail chain opened compact stores with the most popular range of goods. The first two facilities are located near the M4 Don federal highway on the way to the Black Sea coast, where a focus has been made on popular products, including various types of coffee, confectionery, beverages, etc.
Over the past five years, Tatneft’s distribution network has gained sufficient competence in the non-fuel business and is not limiting to the sales of oil products. As part of its filling station chain upgrade, new station formats are being introduced with an expanded cafe area, developed public catering; customers at Tatneft filling stations are offered high-quality grain coffee, national bakery products, and a wide range of goods and services. One of the areas for the non-fuel business development is the cooperation with well-known retail chains or fast-food chains, which allows expanding the list of services and attracting new customers to its filling stations.
In addition to the southern direction, Magnit stores are also expected to be organised at filling stations in the Moscow area. Following the results of this project, a decision will be made on further development of cooperation with the Magnit chain.

During his 2-day visit to Innoprom-2019, Minister Karimov visited local enterprises.
On the first day of his trip, the minister visited the Prosoft Systems at the personal invitation of the company. Its Director General Aleksandr Rasputin made a presentation and introduced the guests to the activities of the enterprise specialising in the development and implementation of automation systems for the energy, oil and gas, metal, and other industries. It is important to note that the company already has experience working with a number of major enterprises from Tatarstan.
Also during the visit, Albert Karimov made a tour of the Kalinin Machine-Building Plant (MZIK). The minister learnt about the half-century history of the plant by visiting its museum and exhibition grounds. He was also shown machines and loaders for municipal services and a regional interdisciplinary centre for continuing professional education.
The Kalinin Machine-Building Plant has close professional ties with Tatarstan and, in particular, with the Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University in the field of qualified personnel training: the enterprise employs many graduates of this university. In addition, MZIK for many years has been partnering with enterprises of Tatarstan, such as Elecon Plant, Quartz, and others.

Today in Naberezhnye Chelny, the KAMAZ Press and Frame Plant launched a new line for the production of aluminium fuel tanks, which is intended to replace the supplies of imported tanks from Austria. The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of the Rostec Group Sergey Chemezov, Deputy Prime Minister Albert Karimov, and other officials.
Before the launch of the new line, Russia has no facilities for the production of aluminium fuel tanks that would meet the quality and capacity requirements of KAMAZ, so the company purchased these products abroad. In 2017, KAMAZ decided to set up its own facilities for the aluminium fuel tank production. In 2018, the Industry Development Fund (IDF) supported the company’s project by providing the manufacturer with a loan under the Component Products programme.
Within this project, KAMAZ began producing aluminium fuel tanks with a capacity of 200 to 800 litres. The new production’s output is 35,000 tanks a year. However, the line is universal allowing the production of both aluminium and steel fuel tanks.
Earlier, the IDF granted the company a preferential loan for the purchase of new equipment. The total project budget was RUB 544 million, of which RUB 230 million is an IDF loan.
An important project for KAMAZ and the region has become the 150th production project launched with the involvement of a IDF loan.
