More than 100 children from social shelters and orphanages visited POZIS (part of the Techmash concern of the Rostec Corporation, and a member of the Russian Engineering Union) within the My Profession vocational guidance campaign. The project’s mission is to help young people in their professional self-determination.
As part of the campaign, representatives of the POZIS youth organisation give a tour for young guests around mechanical and forging facilities, introduced them to the process of manufacturing POZIS refrigeration products. The children were especially impressed by the art painting workshop for refrigerators, where professional artists turn household appliances into pieces of art.
The children also had an opportunity to visit the fire emergency response unit No. 34 located on the POZIS territory. Specialists talked about their work and showed the latest equipment of firefighting vehicles. At the end of the event, the young participants were told about social programmes operated by the company.
Today, POZIS employs more than 900 people under the age of 30. An important component for the motivation of young professionals by the company is the ever-expanding system of social benefits and guarantees, which are fixed in the collective agreement. In addition, POZIS regularly organises career guidance, sports, and cultural events for its employees.
