Meeting of working group on republic’s consumer market held in Ministry

On July 21, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the working group on consumer market issues in the Republic of Tatarstan devoted to the “Retail Trade Progress in the First Half of 2017; Interaction of Retail Chains with Suppliers”. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Denis Valeyev, representatives of the State Alcohol Inspectorate of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of Kazan, the Consumers Union of Tatarstan and invited executives of retail chains.

The participants to the meeting were informed about the results of retail trade development in the Republic of Tatarstan in the first half of the year. The meeting also discussed such topical issues of the sector as cooperation with local commodity producers, the problem of returning unsold goods to suppliers, implementation of the Law on State Languages in the Republic of Tatarstan, and events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister presented letters of commendation to the heads of trading companies for their active cooperation aimed at developing and improving retail trade in Tatarstan and in honour of their professional holiday, the Salesperson Day.
