Applications for participation in the National Import Substitution Prize contest titled “Priority-2017” were opened in May this year. The contest events are held for the third time.
The Priority Prize is an annual contest organised to support and encourage manufacturers in the field of competitive substitution of goods and services. This is the Russia's first and only reputable prize within the professional community, a wide-scale, branded award being presented to the best enterprises in the country that have achieved the greatest success in the field of import substitution. It is expected that more than 450 companies will take part in the Priority-2017 competitions.
For its two years of existence, over 600 companies took part in the competitions, and more than 80 of them became its winners. To date, the National Priority Prize is a highly effective marketing tool for the most successful Russian companies that create import-substituting products.
The award is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Communications of Russia, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Delovaya Rossiya public organisation, and leading professional organisations.
