On July 23, a grand air show titled “I Opt for the Sky” will be held near the Kazan Family Centre. For 5 years, the event gathers tens of thousands of people, including aviation industry professionals, experts, veterans, students, and just residents and guests of Kazan that are not indifferent to aviation, flights, and sky. Thanks to the high level of organisation and popularity of the holiday, it was our city in this season that was chosen to host a round of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship to be held for the first time in Russia. A unique tandem of two large-scale events will bring the aviation holiday to a fundamentally new level of authority.
The show, which Kazan residents and visitors will see on July 23 near the Kazan Family Centre, includes performances of aircraft modellers and bikers, display of unmanned aerial vehicles, vocational guidance counselling, master classes, as well as opportunities of face-to-face interaction with aerospace experts and people who conquered the sky.
The I Opt for the Sky event is not only a spectacular show, but also the introduction of young people to a healthy lifestyle and another step towards choosing a serious and exciting profession.
The opening event will take place on July 23 at 11.30 with the participation of the republic's officials and aviation veterans; it includes the ceremony of presenting Tatarstan Government awards.
