Tatarstan-Iran business forum held in Kazan

On July 19, the Kazan IT Park hosted the Tatarstan-Iran Business Forum. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, heads of republic’s ministries and agencies and members of the delegation from the Razavi Khorasan Province of Iran headed by its Governor Alireza Rashidian.

Opening the event, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the participants of the Tatarstan-Iran Business Forum in Kazan. “Tatarstan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran within the framework of Russian-Iranian relations,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. “Governments and business communities of our countries are making efforts to expand contacts in various fields. For our part, we are prepared to take an active part in these processes at the regional level. Tatarstan is interested in being chosen by foreign companies as a launching pad for their operations in the Russian market.”

The presentation of the Tatarstan’s tourism potential was delivered by the Chairman of the State Committee of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov. A representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the head of the Association of Importers and Exporters of the Razavi Khorasan Province of Iran made a presentation of the region’s industrial potential.

During the forum, suggestions were made towards developing and strengthening business ties between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Razavi Khorasan Province.
