In Podolsk, the capabilities of the second-generation KAMAZ-6282 electric bus were demonstrated within the Field Technical Council with representatives of large automotive plants.
The bus was presented during the Council session to experts from Mostransavto and representatives of various automotive pants, including GAZ Group, Scania Rus, ZF Russia, MAZ, and others. All of them were brought together to exchange best practices in operating buses and discuss the prospective bus models that Mostransavto planned to purchase in the future.
The unique second-generation KAMAZ-6282 electric bus is a joint project of KAMAZ and Drive Electro, a Russian science and technology company. It is adapted for reduced-mobility passengers, has low floor, equipped with video cameras and satellite navigation. In addition, the model boasts lithium-titanate (LTO) batteries, which complements this number of advantages. The electric bus can be successfully charged even at low temperatures. Moreover, due to the relatively low battery weight, the KAMAZ bus has the ability to carry more passengers. Its total capacity is 85 passengers with 24 seats. In May last year, the test operation of the new model began in Skolkovo and continued on the avenues of Moscow, and then the electric bus was sent to the routes of St. Petersburg.
