Meeting with Chinese delegation

On March 22 at the Korston Hotel & Mall, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with participants of the 6th Russian-Chinese Business Forum and Inter-Party Dialogue “United Russia Party – Communist Party of China”.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council of United Russia Party Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Song Tao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and others.

Welcoming the participants to the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the Russian-Chinese relations have a character of a comprehensive strategic partnership. A permanent political dialogue has been maintained at the highest level, the countries have common positions on urgent international and regional issues. Moreover, China is the Russia's largest trading partner.

In his reply, Mr. Song Tao stressed that Russian-Chinese relations are characterised today by good development trends. The head of the CPC’s International Liaison Department also noted that Tatarstan is well known in the Celestial Empire as a region with significant economic, investment, and research potential. He highly appreciated the republic's contribution to the development of interregional cooperation with China.
