On January 27, 2011 at the Davos World Economic Forum First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov declared a capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, to be a shining example of how one of the multinational and multiconfessional regions of Russia can be an attractive place for foreign investments.
