Performance tests of Kamaz electric bus on streets of Moscow

Mosgortrans, the main operator of land transport in Moscow, is carrying out tests of a Kamaz-6282 electric bus. A promising newly-designed product manufactured by PAO Kamaz will be tested on streets of Moscow during two months.

The tested Kamaz electric bus is adapted for handicapped individuals. A bus has a low level of floor and equipped with video cameras and satellite navigation. The total salon capacity is 85 passengers. Operational range after 20-minutes-charging is 100 kilometres. The maximum speed is 65 km/h. Accumulators are charged from a power grid of 380 volt. The main advantages of Kamaz-6282 electric bus compared to buses with internal combustion engines are its environmental friendliness, quietness, and operating economy.
