From 30 November to 1 December 2014, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Turkey. The delegation from Tatarstan comprised officials from ministries and agencies of the republic.
During the working visit, meetings were held between the Tatarstan President and top officials of the Turkish ministries and agencies including the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeibekchi, Ankara Mayor Melih Gökçek, executives of Sincan Organised Industrial Zone and a number of Turkish companies.

The main event of the working visit of the Tatarstan President to Ankara was the extended meeting of the Russian-Turkish High Level Cooperation Council chaired by the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Turkish President Recep Erdogan. During the negotiations, Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan reached an agreement on a number of issues.
