On 26 October 2011, a Conference entitled Quality Improvement – Basis for Long-Term Relationship was held at OAO KamAZ within the framework of the Days of Quality in the Republic of Tatarstan. More than 70 Russian and foreign business partners of OAO KamAZ supplying components, metal and materials discussed urgent issues of quality.

On October 26, 2011 hearings of the Tatarstan Public Chamber on the implementation of the Federal Law on Fundamental Principles of State Regulation of Trade Activities in the Russian Federation took place in the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Rashat Fattakhov, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, made a keynote report at the meeting.

On 25 October 2011 another workshop on implementation of Lean Office principles was held in the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade for the staff. The main results and current issues on the implementation of Lean-technologies in practical activity of the Ministry were discussed during the workshop.

On October 24, 2011 Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov met with Mr Denis Keefe, the Charge D’Affaires of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to the Russian Federation. Issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting. On the part of the Republic of Tatarstan the meeting was attended by representatives of management and ministerial departments of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Energy, number of Tatarstan enterprises; on the part of UK – by the Second Secretary of the Embassy of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to the Russian Federation.

On October 20, 2011 an International Scientific-Practical Conference entitled Effective Management Systems - Strategy of Success is held in Kazan.

This Forum is attended by representatives of public authorities, business communities, academics of the Republic of Tatarstan, international experts and representatives of Russian regions.

Within the Days of Quality the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Quality Centre of the Volga Region and industrial enterprises of the republic jointly held an Interregional Research and Practice Conference "Quality and Technical Regulation", as well as the round table meeting "Current Issues of Technical Regulation Reforms". The participants familiarized themselves with the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of quality and technical regulation.

From 18 to 19 October 2011, the Tatarstan Days of Quality, dated to the celebration of the World Quality Day and the European Quality Week, take place. On 18 October this year, Interregional Research-to-Practice Conference “Quality and technical regulation” and on 19 October round-table conference “Current issues on the reform of the technical regulation” are held.

On October 15, 2011 a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Scientific and Educational Cluster in the Sphere of Commerce, Hospitality Industry and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan was held. 

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Scientific and Educational Cluster Ravil Muratov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeeva, members of the Coordinating Council of the Cluster, heads of educational institutions composing the Cluster, representatives of sectoral employers' communities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 12 October 2011, 7th reporting and nominating conference of the Association of the defense complex and engineering industry trade unions of the Republic of Tatarstan took place.
