On 25 December 2015, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with members of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was attended by Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights under the Tatarstan President Timur Nagumanov.

Rustam Minnikhanov handed over Letters of Gratitude of the Tatarstan President to entrepreneurs and top officials of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On 25 December 2015, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and Aide to the Tatarstan President Ravil Zaripov bestowed State Awards, Certificates of Honor and Letters of Gratitude to top officials and officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade for their conscientious work and achievements.

On 25 December 2015, the final meeting with Tatarstan representatives abroad and in Russian entities in the videoconference format under the chairmanship of Chief of Staff of the Tatarstan President Asgat Safarov.

The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, representatives of the Office of the Tatarstan President and the Tatarstan State Council and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kazan, officials of the Tatarstan executive authorities and top executives of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars.

During the meeting, the participants analysed current activities, discussed priority tasks and specified promising areas of activities of the Tatarstan representatives.

At the end of the meeting, Albert Karimov defined tasks for the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Tatarstan representatives in the sphere of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

On 24 December 2015, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov participated in the official awarding ceremony of Manager of the Year 2015 Contest. The event was also attended by Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, top officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies, territorial administrations of federal agencies, municipal entities, and top executives of Tatarstan enterprises.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the annual ceremony Manager of the Year has already been held 15 times. He noted that this year the Committee considered about thousand of applications, and only 26 people were awarded with memorial awards by Rustam Minnikhanov.

On 24 December 2015, during the meeting under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov the participants discussed measures of State support of investment projects that are being implemented by PAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim and OAO TAIF-NK aimed at import substitution.

The meeting was attended by Aide to the Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Head of Nizhnekamsk District Aydar Metshin, Tatarstan Minister of Economy Artyom Zdunov, Director General of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest-holding Rafinat Yarullin, top officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Finances, the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, top executives of PAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim and OAO TAIF-NK.

During the meeting, the participants considered issues of State support at the federal, regional and municipal levels while implementing investment and infrastructure projects of PAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim and OAO TAIF-NK.

On 24 December 2015, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired the meeting of the Presidium of the Tatarstan Investment Council. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, top officials of Tatarstan ministries and agencies.

During the meeting, investors submitted a project of rating the government authorities. The participants of the meeting have also discussed the investment development project of the Pestrechinsky and Laishevsky Districts, as well as other issues.

The results of the 7th Сorporate Young Innovators Competition were announced at PAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. The winner diploma in the nomination “The best technical solutions implemented in 2014-2015” was given to Irek Gazizov, engineering technologist of the Science and Technology Centre. His work “The production process of block copolymers” is protected by patent of the Russian Federation.

The winners and prize winners of the Young Innovators Competition were awarded with diplomas. The winners in the categories “Society`s Best Young Innovator” and “Society`s Best Creative Youth Brigade” were awarded as well.

On 23 December 2015, the meeting of the State Council agrees on the candidature of Albert Karimov suggested by the Tatarstan President for the post of the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade.

The procedure is being performed in accordance with Article 75 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan and Articles 18 and 49 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On Executive Authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan”. Albert Karimov has been approved for a new position.

Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin on behalf of the deputies expressed their gratitude to Ravil Zaripov, the former Minister of Industry and Trade.

On 22 December 2015, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Gazprom Gas Fuel Company.

The agreement on the construction of the LNG complex and a network of cryogenic petrol stations in Tatarstan was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and Director General of Gazprom Gas Fuel Mikhail Likhachyov.

Tatarstan is the first region in Russia to acquire the infrastructure for the production and sales of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a motor fuel.

Construction of a LNG complex infrastructure is planned to be assigned the investment project status.

On 22 December 2015, Professor of Economics from Harvard University Kenneth Rogoff gave a lecture for top officials of public authorities. The lecture was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, as well as heads of ministries and agencies of the republic.

The lecture was devoted to topical issues of the economy in current financial and geopolitical conditions.

Professor Kenneth Rogoff focused on such topics as the impact of the US economy on economies of other countries, the development of China's economy, the opportunities of reforms in the EU member states, and the prospects of investments in Russian economy.
