A regular meeting of the Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products in Tatarstan was held today at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The issues discussed by the Committee were measures taken to suppress illegal turnover of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products, as well as the work of dairy product manufacturers in Tatarstan within the framework of introducing marking.
Rustem Sadykov, Deputy Head of the Department for Suppression of Crimes on Consumer Market and Counteraction to Trafficking in Counterfeit Goods of the Tatarstan Board for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Activities at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, spoke about the measures taken to suppress illegal turnover of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products in the first 6 months of 2021.
A total of 9781 checks of retail and wholesale trade facilities, warehouses, and garage cooperatives were conducted in the first half of the year. As a result of these checks, 170,898 litres of counterfeit alcoholic and alcohol-containing products were withdrawn from illegal turnover.
Nail Zalakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, made a presentation on the readiness of dairy producers for the introduction of marking.
According to the “Chestny Znak” assessment, Tatarstan was among Top 5 regions in the Volga Federal District for joining the dairy product marking programme.
