During his visit to Kazan, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee, Head of Department 623 Oleg Aksyutin, together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan Rustem Usmanov, and other high ranking guests reviewed the construction progress at the Sokury gas distribution station (GDS) that meets all industry’s reference standards.
Oleg Aksyutin noted that the new GDS is a crucial step towards implementing the instruction by Russian President Vladimir Putin on regional gas supply development and stressed that Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee Aleksey Miller highly appreciated the concerted efforts of Tatarstan’s gas transmission companies and top officials of the republic.
President Minnikhanov stressed the importance of cooperation between Gazprom and Tatarstan’s enterprises and noted that the Sokury GDS based on modular terminal equipment manufactured by AviagazSoyuz+ of Kazan is a vivid example of this. Moreover, the Tatarstan President thanked the representatives of Gazprom and the contractor company for the high quality of construction and installation work and for securing a reliable gas supply to consumers in Kazan and its suburbs.
The facility was constructed as part of the third final stage of Gazprom’s investment project entitled “Reconstruction of Minnibayevo-Kazan Gas Pipeline in the section 220-285 kilometres”.
